Trip Summary
Explore the Unesco World Heritage Site and the center of Khmer civilization, Angkor Wat. You will be amazed at the size and grandeur of the temple complexes and you will wonder at the beautiful bas-reliefs and ornate carvings. The smiling faces of the Bayon Temple express charity, compassion, sympathy and equanimity. Explore the older Roluos group of temples, and take a boat trip to see the lifestyle of the floating village that hasn't changed since the 12th century. The main temples in the Siem Reap itinerary are Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Ta Phrom Temple, and Banteay Srei. The Tonle Sap Lake is also included.

Day 01: Phnom Penh Arrival
Upon your arrival in Phnom Penh, you me met by our tour staff and taken to your hotel. After you check in and get settled, there will be a welcome dinner of Khmer cuisine. Overnight in Phnom Penh hotel. Dinner included.

Day 02: Phnom Penh City Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Toul Sleng Museum, the Royal Palace with the Silver Pagoda, and then Wat Phnom, the symbol of Phnom Penh. That afternoon we take a tour of the National Museum and then go shopping at the Central Market, and the famous Russian Market as well. Overnight in Phnom Penh hotel. Breakfast included.

Day 03: Phnom Penh - Kratie
After breakfast in the morning we drive to the northeast of Cambodia and cross the Mekong River to get to the town of Kratie, and we stop along the way at Skon Village to see the daily life of the people there. That afternoon we take a boat up the Mekong River to get a glimpse of the Irrawadi dolphins, then in the evening we can enjoy the sunset from the hilltop temple of Phnom Sambok. Overnight in hotel in Kratie on the riverside. Breakfast included.

Day 04: Krati - Ratanakiri (Banlung)
After breakfast, we drive to Banlung, enjoying the refreshing greenery of the countryside and the mountains along the way. That afternoon we visit a local market, a water fall and then in the evening we view the sunset from the hilltop of Eisey Patamiak. Overnight in Banlung hotel. Breakfast included.

Day 05: Banlung - Vansai
Today, after breakfast we leave for Srok Vansai by 4-wheel drive vehicle to visit the hill tribe people of Tumpuon, living on the bank of the Sesan River. We also visit Chinese, Laotian and Chun Cheat merchants, then later we can take a swim in theYeak Laom Volcanic Lake, or just enjoy the view of this picturesque lake. Overnight in Banlung hotel. Breakfast and Picnic Lunch included.

Day 06: Banlung - Ta Veng - Banlung
Today we head north toward Laos to the village of Taveng. Driving there, we pass through the field of unique volcanic rock formations of Veyrum Plang. This lava field in the forest has a small waterfall which flows only in the rainy season, and also has what the locals call tiger caves. As we travel north to Taveng, we stop along the way at a few Kroeung villages located deep in the forest. The Kroeung people erect peculiar bachelor houses on very long bamboo poles. These houses remain until the young man finds a wife, and then they are destroyed Overnight in Banlung hotel. Breakfast and Picnic Lunch included.

Day 07: Banlunhg - Phnom Penh
After breakfast, we head back to Phnom Penh. After checking into the hotel, there will be free time to relax or go shopping, or take in the nightlife Phnom Penh. Overnight in Phnom Penh hotel. Breakfast included.

Day 08: Phnom Penh Free Day
Today is a free day to relax by the pool, explore Phnom Penh by taking an optional tour, take off on your own and visit art galleries and boutique shops. Overnight in Phnom Penh hotel. Breakfast included.

Day 09: Phnom Penh - Battambang
In the morning after breakfast, we drive to the northwest part of Cambodia to Battambang situated on the Sanke River. After arrival and checking in to the hotel, we visit a farming village on the way to Ek Phnom. We go bird watching at Beoung Kamping Pouy from November thru February. Overnight in Battambang hotel. Breakfast included.

bay 10: Battambang - Siem Reap
After breakfast, we take a trip to the ancient hilltop temples of Phnom Banon and Phnom Sampao, and then return to the town for lunch. In the afternoon we head to the town of Siem Reap, and check into our hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap hotel. Breakfast included.

Day 11: Siem Reap - AngkorTemples
For those who wish to do so, you can get up before dawn and go to see the spectacular sunrise over Angkor. Then, after breakfast, we are off to visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom where we see the South Gate, the Bayon Temple, Baphuon, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. It is then on to the jungle temple of Ta Phrom which has been overgrown by trees and vines. In the afternoon we explore the famous Angkor Wat, and in the evening we climb to the top of Phnom Bakheng to view the sunset over Angkor. Overnight in Siem Reap hotel. Breakfast included.

Day 12: Siem Reap - Cycling to the Floating Village
After breakfast, we go on a bike ride through the bucolic countryside to visit the Floating Village of Mear Cheiy. We then board a wooden boat to tour this amazing floating village. Overnight in Siem Reap hotel. Breakfast included.

Day 13: Siem Reap Free Day
Breakfast at the hotel, then you have a free day to just relax, go shopping, explore Siem Reap, or take an optional tour. Overnight in Siem Reap hotel. Breakfast included.

Day 14: Siem Reap Departure
After breakfast it will be time to get ready for your departure transfer. Breakfast included. Please note that check-out time is 12:00 noon.
